As a rule, the Austrian national budget is presented annually by the Ministry of Finance. It determines which revenues and expenditures the state must plan for the coming financial year. The Austrian state budget consists of the revenues and expenditures of the Austrian federal government. It is used to finance public services and at the same time cover the government’s debts. The current state budget has been finalized for 2018 and will be approved in February 2018.
